Summary of the consultation meeting of the 17th TIME Economic Forum

The consultation meeting with the digital community and the meeting of the programme board of the 17th TIME Economic Forum are behind us. This is a unique event as together with the Data Spaces Symposium it will create ICT WEEK in the second week of March during the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The ICT WEEK in Warsaw will bring together representatives of the European ecosystem from all EU countries. ICT WEEK will be the largest event of the ICT sector in Poland in Q1 2025, with more than 3000 people from all over Europe meeting at the Hilton Hotel.

Summary of the consultation meeting of the 17th TIME Economic Forum

During the meeting we chose the event's slogan: Poland in Europe - together for the digital decade

We also discussed the topics raised with nearly 40 organisations. These include issues of European competitiveness and the creation of a truly single market, data spaces, AI policy and the digitalisation strategy until 20235, the digitalisation of energy. One of the leading topics will be the implementation of the AI Act and all acts related to cyber security. We will also discuss important issues for the telecommunications sector such as the Gigabit Infrastructure Act (GIA) and the Digital Network Act (DNA). But digitalisation is also about modern sectors of the Polish economy, so there will be talks about game development (GameDev), cryptoassets and currencies or the creation of unicorns in Europe. We will also talk about reducing online disinformation and scams thanks to the implementation of DSA. We will also discuss topics related to online wellbeing - protecting children from harmful content and launching reliable methods for age verification. There is no digitalisation without funding hence a whole block will be devoted to funding startups, innovation and deeptech. We will also talk about commercialisation of scientific discoveries and cooperation between science and business. The meeting will conclude with a discussion on digital competences and the availability of ICT specialists on the Polish and European markets.

There is no good event without effective networking. That is why in the evening we invite you to the gala during which, among other things, the prestigious awards of the 7th edition of Digital Shapers will be handed out.

The Digital Poland Foundation is one of the leading co-organisers of this largest conference focusing on cooperation. The main host is the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications.

See you at the TIME / ICT WEEK Economic Forum.
