Modern Senior 2025 - a guide to the digital world for mature individuals

The Digital Poland Foundation has been supporting older people in discovering new technologies for years. Thanks to the ‘Modern Senior’ initiative, thousands of senior citizens have overcome their fears and taken their first steps into the digital world. The 6th edition of the ‘Modern Senior 2025’ guide has just been published, enriched with new content and updates. We are also launching a campaign across Poland. Together, we will train over 6,000 people.

Modern Senior 2025 - a guide to the digital world for mature individuals

What's new in this year's edition?

The new version of the guide responds to contemporary challenges and the needs of older internet users. In the publication, you will find:

  • a chapter on artificial intelligence with a practical introduction to prompting in Bielik.ai, a Polish AI model,

  • updated content on cybersecurity to help you use the internet safely, protect your data, and recognise potential threats.

The guide has been prepared in a simple and understandable way so that everyone, regardless of age, can benefit from new technologies.

Educational campaign for Universities of the Third Age

‘Modern Senior’ is not just a book. It is also a broad educational campaign, organised for the fourth time as part of Digital Festival 2025.

As part of this year's campaign, we have printed 1,000 copies of the guide in paper form, which will be distributed to over fifty Third Age Universities throughout Poland. From 1 October 2025 to 10 November 2025, university trainers will conduct training sessions for their students, which we have prepared on the basis of our guide. The foundation's trainers will also train over 300 seniors as part of the ‘Modern Senior in Warsaw’ campaign, thanks to a grant from the City of Warsaw. Centres throughout Poland, such as Senior Clubs and Sanatoriums, also plan to conduct training based on the electronic version of the guide and training. In total, we plan to train over 6,200 people in this year's edition.

Partner support

The publication was created in cooperation with partners, including the Polska Bezgotówkowa Foundation, the Demagog Association, and Bielik.AI. As its President, Joanna Erdman, emphasises:

"Seniors recognise the opportunities and benefits of digital evolution and are open to taking advantage of it. A common barrier hindering their development in this direction is a lack of basic digital knowledge and skills. The Modern Senior guidebook is an excellent solution, as it familiarises readers with the digital reality in a friendly way. I am delighted that, once again, our Foundation is involved in the publication of this guidebook."

Media patrons of the guide are cyfrowiseniorzy.pl, HBO MAX, player.pl, TVN, Onet.pl
