Wrocław to host a debate on artificial intelligence. The second edition of the ‘GenAI in Education – Isegoria’ conference is coming up

Generative artificial intelligence is a game-changer in education, affecting our cognitive abilities more rapidly and profoundly than any other invention in history. Yet, amidst the media hype and the tangled web of commercial interests, the reliable, evidence-based voice of experts is increasingly being drowned out. The response to this crisis is the second edition of the nationwide conference ‘GenAI in Education — Isegoria’, which will take place on 24 June 2026 in Wrocław. Under the patronage of the Digital Poland Foundation, leading specialists, practitioners and students will come together to discuss, in a spirit of open dialogue, systemic changes, change management, STEM education and the skills of the future in a synthetic world. Find out more about this groundbreaking event and discover why you simply cannot afford to miss it.

Wrocław to host a debate on artificial intelligence. The second edition of the ‘GenAI in Education – Isegoria’ conference is coming up

This coming Wednesday, Wrocław will host the second edition of the nationwide conference ‘GenAI in Education – Isegoria: Systems, Crafts, Stakeholders’.

The shape of our world – whether it be relationships, politics or technology – is a product of education at every level: from our homes to global geopolitics. Today, education is grappling with the unprecedented transformative power of generative AI, which has a profound impact on our cognitive abilities.

Amidst the media clamour and the clash of conflicting interests, the voices of experts are often drowned out. That is why we draw on the ancient concept of ‘Isegoria’ – a space where a pupil has the same voice as an educator, and a parent as much say as a university rector, because the sole criterion is the substance of the argument. We want to discuss current changes in a thorough, honest and highly practical way.

Who will we hear from on stage? The programme is bursting at the seams with outstanding experts:

- Anna Grabiec and Agnieszka Kosiak will discuss Poland’s first study of higher education institutions regarding best practices in AI implementation.

- Wojciech Bednaruk will explore the topic of cognitive infrastructure as a tool for social control.

- Roksana Ulatowska and Albert Borowiecki will take us to Asia, discussing the systemic approach, objectives and regulations surrounding generative AI in education, with a particular focus on China.

- Łukasz Rosenfeld will reveal the secrets of change management when implementing AI tools, whilst Marek Mysior will explore the practical aspects and workshop-based work in STEM education.

- Marzena Anczurowska will combine her professional expertise with a parent’s perspective, asking: what does generative AI give our children, and what does it take away?

- In the closing presentation, Janusz Marcinkowski will remind us that in education, the journey is often more important than the destination.

- The centrepiece of the event will be a two-part debate featuring Dr Gabriela Bar

We are also in for a unique ‘double premiere’! Mateusz Łabuz will be travelling to Poland straight from the University of Hamburg to talk about the skills of the future in a world of synthetic science. This is one of the themes of his book Before Your Era – Man in a Synthetic World of Deepfakes, ChatGPT and Artificial Intelligence, which was published just last week!
