Did you miss the event? No problem - the full transcript of the conference held on 16 June in Gdansk is now available! The event accompanied the Digital Summit, a key event of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council.
EAIF, co-organised by 13 national AI associations under the aegis of AI Poland (represented by the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications and the Digital Poland Foundation), is the flagship event of the AI sector in Europe.
The event addressed:
- Building AI Gigafabrics in Europe - how to make them successful?
- Applied AI - how to scale and develop AI in SMEs?
- CAIDA - new regulations for cloud and AI,
- Scaling AI through sovereign cloud and domestic HPC,
- Open-source as a pillar of Europe's technological sovereignty,
- implementation of regulatory sandboxes,
- Stop the clock - delaying parts of the AI Act regulations and accelerating ISO standards,
- simplification of AI Act reporting (Omnibus).
We also realised the Polish Corner, which showed how dynamically the Polish AI ecosystem is developing. We also heard decision-makers from Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic (Minister Dariusz Standerski, Minister Lukas Savickas, Minister Jan Kavalirek - thank you for the inspiration!), who shared strategies for implementing the AI Act in their countries.
New faces at EAIF: we welcome AI Albania and Georgian AI Association on board. We are also looking forward to working with the Serbian AI Association. This is a step towards even greater inclusivity and cross-border cooperation in AI.
During the event, the formal establishment of AI Poland was announced - we are taking off! This is an initiative of more than 40 organisations and public administrations to accelerate the development of AI in Poland.
