The invoicing revolution is now a reality. Although the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) may sound like yet another regulatory challenge to many companies, it is in fact a powerful catalyst for business digitalisation and automation. The Digital Poland Foundation, in collaboration with Symfonia, has produced a comprehensive guide to help the SME sector navigate this change smoothly. Find out why it’s worth investing in digital foundations today and download our free guide.
The KSeF invoicing revolution in Poland is already underway. From 1 February 2026, the requirement to use the system will apply to the largest entities in the market. Now, the SME sector faces this technological challenge, having already passed the first key deadline (1 April 2026) and preparing for the next one, due on 1 January 2027.
This is precisely why the Digital Poland Foundation, in collaboration with Symfonia, has published a comprehensive guide to electronic invoicing. The publication helps to view the e-invoicing obligation not only through the prism of regulations, but above all from the perspective of automation and the development of digitalisation within a company.
- The National e-Invoice System is a major technological change affecting all businesses in Poland – from very large enterprises to micro-enterprises. [...] It depends on their vision and decisions whether the KSeF will simply streamline the flow of invoices, or whether it will open the door to technological changes in entire business processes and expose Polish businesses to the wider benefits of digitalisation, automation and the use of artificial intelligence – notes Piotr Ciski, CEO of Symfonia.
Proper implementation of KSeF is much more than just complying with new regulations. It is, in fact, a kind of investment in the digital foundations of a modern company and the aforementioned process automation. As with the implementation of JPK or e-zla, the structured XML data format lays the foundation for the full automation of financial and accounting processes and real-time system integration.
- At the Digital Poland Foundation, we believe that the implementation of KSeF should be viewed not only as a regulatory change, but above all as a catalyst for the digitalisation of the Polish economy and businesses themselves. [...] The structured data format in the open XML standard lays the foundation for the full automation of financial and accounting processes and real-time system integration – confirms Piotr Mieczkowski, Managing Director of the Digital Poland Foundation.
It is up to the decisions of leaders and management whether KSeF will open Polish business up to the wider benefits of modern technologies.
