Over 660 articles in the international press and a potential global reach of nearly 141 million. Our latest, 5th edition of the Digital Champions CEE report has been widely covered in the international media. From Reuters, through the iconic *TIME* magazine, to business giants such as *Fortune*, *Forbes* and *USA Today*. Find out how, together with the report’s partners, including the law firm Baker McKenzie, we have successfully channelled the global business community’s attention towards the potential of technology companies in the Central and Eastern European region.

International media coverage of our ‘Digital Champions CEE 2026’ report

The promotional success of our latest publication has exceeded even our wildest expectations. The fifth edition of the Digital Champions CEE 2026 report has become a topic of global significance, all thanks to the Foundation’s coordinated distribution efforts and the invaluable support of our partners. We carried out a great deal of work to publicise the report’s findings in collaboration with the law firm Baker McKenzie, which helped draw the attention of the international business community directly to the innovations emerging in Central and Eastern Europe.

The scope and scale of the media campaign

The distribution strategy we adopted, implemented via the PR Newswire platform, yielded extremely satisfying results. The materials we produced were sent directly to subscribers’ email inboxes and to a carefully selected database of media contacts. The impact of this work was immediate, as all the planned content appeared online within just two days of the campaign’s launch. The campaign generated exactly 660 separate publications worldwide, which translated into a huge potential reach estimated at over 140.8 million people. This reach built up systematically over the following weeks, showing a strong, linear increase in page views over time. It is worth noting that the mix of media outlets covering our report was dominated by highly influential media and formats. As much as 59 per cent of the media outlets were print media, whilst radio and television stations accounted for 26 per cent of the coverage. Naturally, in campaigns aimed at wide distribution of news, the PR Newswire platform and its partner websites ultimately accounted for the largest share of the traffic generated.

The world’s most influential press titles

We focused our efforts on markets that are key from a technological development perspective, targeting audiences in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Czech Republic and Estonia. We prepared original, localised translations to facilitate the work of French and Czech editorial teams. These planned activities resulted in the report’s findings being featured in the very top global media outlets. Our material attracted the interest of journalists at the Reuters news agency and also made it into the pages of leading American publications. The state of our ecosystem was covered, amongst others, in the pages of the daily newspaper “USA Today” and such legendary magazines as “Fortune”, “Forbes” and “Time”. A presence in such markets significantly boosts the credibility of our material and reinforces its global impact.

Interest in CEE technologies extends beyond Europe

Although the articles appeared in the United States and Europe – including the UK, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland and Estonia – the reach of the campaign itself proved to be much wider. The Digital Champions list sparked curiosity amongst the international press from literally all over the world, resulting in coverage in Canada, India, Singapore and Morocco. This demonstrates that our region’s innovations are effectively making their mark on the global technology scene and attracting interest regardless of geographical location. Together with our partners, we have once again demonstrated that the successes of our regional innovators can and must be discussed alongside the biggest players on the global markets. The campaign would not have been possible without our collaboration with Baker McKenzie.
