From 8 to 10 September 2026, Karpacz will once again become a hub for debate thanks to the 35th Economic Forum. This year’s edition, whose theme is ‘The Architecture of a New Order – Stability in Times of Change’, will bring together over 6,000 guests, as well as political and economic leaders from around the world. The Digital Poland Foundation has been actively supporting this unique event for many years as its official partner. The 35th Economic Forum will take place in Karpacz from 8 to 10 September 2026. It is undoubtedly a major socio-economic conference in Central and Eastern Europe. The organisers invite you to the Gołębiewski Hotel, which for these three days will become the centre of the most important debates on the future of our continent and the world. Every year, this unique event attracts over 6,000 guests from around 60 countries, having served as a key platform for dialogue for over three decades. Participants and speakers will include presidents, prime ministers, ministers, business leaders, as well as representatives of local government and the worlds of science and culture from across Europe. The event is organised by the Institute for Eastern Studies Foundation, whose mission remains to create a space for cooperation between key sectors in Poland and abroad.
The Architecture of a New Order and Stability in Times of Change
This year’s edition of the Economic Forum is taking place under the highly apt theme: ‘The Architecture of a New Order – Stability in Times of Change’. The organisers highlight the scale of the challenges facing Europe and the entire international community today. In the face of mounting geopolitical tensions, including the war in Ukraine and conflicts in the Middle East, as well as the rapidly shifting balance of power on the international stage, states and organisations are seeking new mechanisms to ensure security and stable development. Proven cooperation frameworks, such as the European Union and NATO, are playing an increasingly important role in strengthening political, economic and military coordination. At the same time, the importance of countries such as China and India is growing before our very eyes, accelerating the emergence of a multipolar world order. Within this new architecture, energy security, the overall resilience of economies and the development of strategic technologies are taking on particular significance. These include, above all, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. To maintain stability in these dynamic times, we need flexible institutions and the capacity to respond jointly to global crises.
A rich programme of content and eight thematic tracks
The organisers have carefully designed the conference programme, which comprises over 500 diverse events. Participants will be able to take part in plenary sessions, panel discussions, debates, lectures, workshops and author talks. The organisers have divided the programme into eight key thematic areas, which include: the AI Forum, the Cybersecurity Forum, the Healthcare Forum, the Regions Forum, the Economy, International Politics and Security, Society, and Sustainable Development. It is worth noting that at the previous edition, the Healthcare Forum alone brought together 750 representatives from the sector, whilst the Regions Forum attracted over 1,000 representatives from local government. The official opening of the proceedings will take place on 8 September 2026 at 12:00, when the SGH and Economic Forum Report will be formally presented. The Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) holds the honourable position of the event’s main content partner. In addition, participants can look forward to the Local Government Financial Ranking, which provides the most comprehensive analysis of the financial health of local government bodies in our country. The conference is also the ideal meeting place for over 500 experts representing more than 150 universities and research institutes.
Accompanying events and networking opportunities
The Economic Forum in Karpacz is much more than just substantive discussions and lectures. An integral part of the event is a rich cultural programme, which includes concerts, film screenings and inspiring meetings with authors. Each of the three days of the conference culminates in formal galas and banquets, during which the jury presents prestigious awards. Awards are presented to winners in categories such as Person of the Year, Company of the Year and Non-Governmental Organisation of the Year. The event also offers excellent opportunities for building business relationships. The Conference Centre, located at the Gołębiewski Hotel, provides participants with as much as 5,000 square metres of modern and extensive exhibition space. Last year, the conference was co-organised by 355 partners, including 146 business partners, 110 institutional partners and 83 media partners. The Forum boasts the highest advertising equivalent value among conferences in Poland, exceeding PLN 180 million.
